Color Shading Tool

Easily generate lighter and darker shades of a color for use in whatever.

The base color is the starting color from which the others are derived. It is represented in the center color swatch.

The color shift is how much the HSV changes between colors. To create nice-looking shades of a color, experiment with all three sliders.

Changes the base color mode between HSV and RGB. You will probably want to keep this on HSV most of the time.

Sets the base color (center color) to the color saved in your clipboard. Useful if you want to use a base color from a different application. You can also copy any color swatch to the clipboard by clicking on it.

Saves the current workspace to the clipboard as text. You can paste this text into any text editor to save your progress.

Attempts to load a workspace from the clipboard. If the clipboard does not contain accurately formatted text, an error message will be displayed.
